Galileo Offline Maps

Probably the fastest maps ever on the App Store.

Version 2.0 Release Notes

As many have already noticed, new version 2.0 of Galileo Offline Maps app appeared in the AppStore this week. This update brings some killer usability improvements and several new features, including the long-awaited “GPS Track Recording” feature.
Thanks to our active users Galileo Offline Maps app becomes more assertive and easy to use with every new version.

What’s new:

1. “GPS Track Recording” feature

It’s possible to record track in background mode (if supported by firmware) and while screen is locked.

The following detailed statistics are available for a track:

  • duration - total trip elapsed time
  • distance - total distance
  • avg. speed - average speed while recording the track
  • max. speed - maximum speed on c tracks

Save your recorded GPS tracks to KML, GPX, CSV common formats and share them with someone via email. But keep in mind that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

2. Improved “Bookmarks” feature

Now it’s possible to select bookmark to display on map in several ways:

  • in one tap from bookmarks list (turns font color from black to gray - black for visible, gray - for hidden bookmarks),
  • or click “Show” button directly from bookmark detailed view.

There are also two ways to delete a bookmark in app:

  • swipe your finger horizontally across the bookmark you want to delete in list, and a red “delete” button will appear,
  • or go to bookmark detailed view and click “Delete” button.

So, bookmarks are definitely more usable now, do you have any further enhancements for them?

3. “All-in-One Features Pack” in-app purchase

This option allows you to ON all features at once, including upcoming features in future releases. You don’t have to buy the all others in-app purchases at all with enabled “All-in-One Features Pack”, which means that all features included forever. With every new version all new features will be already enabled.

Price depends on your previously purchased features:

  • If you have previously purchased one of in-app features - your discount is 20%.
  • If you have previously purchased more than one in-app features - your discount is 40%.

Pretty good price for new and current users, isn’t it?
