Bookmark It
“Bookmarks” feature is a great extension for Galileo Offline Maps app, which makes work with maps much more effective. Drop pins on map and save search results to view them later. It’s also an easy way to share with your friends your current location or places you’ve visited on vacation.
How it works:
1. Add bookmark on map

2. Edit bookmark details

To edit details for a given pin, simply tap the disclosure button (the white arrow in a blue circle) within the bubble. The bookmark details view will open.
Optionally fill out the name you want as the bookmark name and short description for it.
Here you can also view more info, such as the date-time the bookmark was added, latitude and longtitude coordinates of bookmark location.
3. Share bookmarks

- Google Reader
- Delicious
- Tumblr
Posted message contains a URL that links directly to a shared location on map. When a direct link is clicked, OpenStreetMap opens the given pin on map. So that other people can view your point location on map online.
4. Manage bookmarks list

- in one tap from bookmarks list (turns font color from black to gray - black for visible, gray - for hidden bookmarks),
- or clicking “Show” button directly from bookmark detailed view.
There are also two ways to delete a bookmark in app:
- swipe your finger horizontally across the bookmark you want to delete in list, and a red “Delete” button will appear,
-
or go to bookmark detailed view and click “Delete” button.
5. Save search results

You can search by:
- address (city, street, zip code)
- latitude and longitude (e.g. “53.3458,-6.259” for Dublin)
After several moments (depends on your internet connection speed), if service finds the requested location, a blue pin appears on map.

If you searched for a single location, it will appear as a single pin on map. If you searched by category, you will see several pins, matching your query.
Tap on the pin to reveal the callout bubble with its name and open the details view. Here you can add this place as bookmark, so that you can easily achieve it later.
