When we started our trip in Switzerland we simply entered “Athens” into our Navigation System and three days later we were in Greece. And that was pretty much it with our Navi. Entering Turkey we were already out of maps and we actually never really thought about how we would navigate anywhere east from that. So we drove trough Turkey and our iPad was pretty much just a huge music player anymore.

Being quite annoyed by the lack of maps and refusing to buy expensive and obsolete paper maps I started browsing the app store for offline map solutions or navis which include our planned route through Iran, Pakistan and India.

Today we are proud to announce that the latest version 2.0.2 of Galileo Offline Maps is now available in four additional languages: Japanese, German, Spanish and Italian. Both our interface and iTunes description have been translated, and we hope that it will break the language barrier for a lot of our users from Japan, Germany, Spain and Italy.
